1.6.2 Review of Avoiding Plagiarism

Today's lesson will be about:

You will be able to:
  • Recognize the relationship between reference page citations and in-text citations.
  • Use the APA Student Handbook to locate APA citation and apply rules to identify mistakes in a sample citation.
  • Write and edit APA reference page for different kinds of sources (e.g. book, journal, newspaper articles or online sources).

Warm-up
  1. What are in-text citations and references? How are they different from each other?
  2. Why should we have both in-text citations and references in our papers?
  3. What are the two ways of making in-text citations?
